Hey Parents!
Reading is at the heart of education, and the only way to get better at reading is to do it! To help encourage your child to "read their heart out" this year, I will be giving them a reward from pizza hut every time the blow me away with their reading knowledge!
Your child tries their hardest when they see your love for reading too! Please be a role model by reading yourself and reading with your child each day. When they achieve their goals and show their growth, I look forward to giving you a chance to celebrate together!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Dunn
Homework:
Math: This will change nightly. Check their agendas to find the page number for tonight!
Reading: Every night your child should read for 20 minutes. Occasionally they will have a reading comprehension sheet to complete as well.
Spelling: Practice the daily tasks each night. Pick ONE per night. They are always in the gray box on their weekly spelling sheet. Feel free to do them in order or switch it up. I will check weekly in their homework journals to make sure they are practicing!
ALWAYS sign their agendas to show me we are on the same page! Feel free to write me a note in there and I will do the same. This is a great way to communicate!
